Joni my prima, I can still hear your voice.. I hope I never forget it. I should have recorded us in our prime…. riding bikes, skateboards, razor scooters through Warwick and playing school and how you would be the cool and courageous big cousin to lock yourself in the bathroom with me and say Bloody Mary in the mirror 3 times. My heart is broken that I’m not filled with adult memories that I got to share with you… they were few and far in between… but just know I will carry you in my heart forever. You have created a new found compassion within me for those who suffered similarly.
My prima, there won’t be a bird in the sky that won’t remind me of you, a butterfly in the wild, a flower in a garden, an unpainted canvas, that won’t remind me of you..
This one really hit our home base Joni. You were an integral part of our structure. As we rebuild and grow, the foundation of our lives, that you were crucial in shall reinforce our future generations. I promise.
I promise to be there for your mom and sister. It truly always was the 3 of you and in the most special way. The bond of 3 women through blood with love.
