Obituary of Janis M. Gomes

Janis Maureen Gomes, 72, of Providence, passed away on February 13, 2025. She was born in Providence and is the daughter of the late Radeo Gomes and Elizabeth Ann Soares. Janis is the beloved mother of Marc Gomes, Shonda Gomes, and Diona Gomes. She is the loving grandmother of seventeen and eleven great-grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings. Janice is the beloved sister of Renee Porter, sister-in-law of Darlene Gomes and Beatrice Gomes. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Dennis Gomes, Ronald Gomes, David Gomes, Douglas Gomes, and Marilyn Monteiro.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm in the Mount Pleasant Funeral and Cremation Service, 168 Academy Ave, Providence. Burial will be private. For further information and condolences, please visit MOUNTPLEASANTFH.COM.
