David Robert "Chuck" Kilduff, 72, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on
Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
Born on April 23, 1953, in Warwick, Rhode Island, David was the beloved son of the late
Joseph and Irene (Giroux) Kilduff. He graduated from Pilgrim High School in 1972, where he
was a standout football player. David served as a Correctional Officer for 17 years before
becoming a bus driver for First Student, where he worked until his retirement in 2012. In
2015, he relocated to Florida to enjoy his well-earned retirement. He liked to stay busy, so
he worked as a cook for the Pittsburgh Pirates and also did Security at Lecom Park.
Known affectionately as "Chuck". David will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and
unmatched talent in the kitchen. Many will recall seeing him behind the grill at Jesse’s New
York System in West Warwick, where he took great pride in cooking and sharing his
delicious creations.
David had a deep love for the outdoors and spent countless happy hours fishing, camping,
and cheering on his favorite teams—the Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox. But above all, he
cherished managing and coaching his beloved West Warwick Bambino All-Star State
Championship teams. His leadership and dedication earned him a special award, a source of
great pride in his life.
Above all else, David’s greatest joy came from his family—especially his grandchildren.
Whether watching Kole on the field, applauding Ava and Vivi on stage, or being the Funny
ever-loving “Pipa” to Jeremiah, Amaya, and Elena, he was happiest surrounded by those he
loved most.
David is survived by his children: David Kilduff and his wife Heather Kilduff of Exeter;
Kristen Kilduff of West Warwick; Rachel Kilduff and her husband Jeremy Arroyo of North
Providence. He also leaves behind his stepchildren: Jose Torres and Wanda Torres, both of
Pawtucket.
He was the proud grandfather of Alley, Sabrina, Kole, Ava, Viviana, Jeremiah, Amaya, Elena,
Jazmin, Cinthia, and Sophia, and great-grandfather to Reese, Nova, and Nicholaus. David is
also survived by his five brothers: Joseph III, William, Richard, Kenneth, and Robert, as well
as many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember “Uncle Chuck.”
He is predeceased by his loving parents, Joseph and Irene.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mount
Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. A memorial service will begin at
4:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend Edward Pieroni of St. Raymond’s Church.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the Portuguese American Sports Club, 12 Bridge Street,
West Warwick.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Mount Pleasant Funeral Home and the
Portuguese American Sports Club for their kindness and support.
David will be remembered as a devoted father, loving grandfather, passionate coach, skilled
cook, and a truly great guy. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty lives on in all who knew
him.
