Ana Celia Cordova (1939 – 2025) With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Ana Celia Cordova, who passed away on June 7, 2025. Born on November 22, 1939, in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Demetria DeJesus and Pedro pagan Ana, who was also known as Chela, and moved to New York. She took a class to learn to sew, then worked in factories sewing purses, and made clothes. She also loved to crochet. She was married to Isabelo Cordova. “Late Husband.” She also brought her mother down from Puerto Rico, where she had cared for her for many years. Ana had a heart of gold; she always wanted to help anyone in need after losing her mother. She joined a catholic church and decided to dedicate her life to God. She then joined the church to give Mass services to elderly people in nursing homes. She would also go on her own time and bring them little things they needed, or even just a teddy bear, to make them smile and let them know she cared. She also spent many years caring for one of her sisters, Maria. She dedicated most of her life to caring for and taking care of others. She was very family-oriented and loved everyone. Ana is survived by her children. Jose Alfredo Trinidad, Patrica Trinidad, Edwardo Trinidad “late son” and Marilyn Trinidad. She also has a bonus Daughter, Ana Celia Echavarria, whom she played a significant role in raising as well. She has 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Ana will forever be loved. Each of us will miss her dearly and will forever hold her close to our hearts.
Her visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral and Cremation Service, 168 Academy Ave., Providence.
