Marco Antonio Villavicencio, 91, of Providence, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, he is the son of the late Roberto and Ana (Pozo) Villavicencio. He is the beloved husband of Gladys (Calderon) Villavicencio, loving father of Anna Villavicencio, Christina Torres, Freddy Villavicencio, Marc Villavicencio, and the late Eric Villavicencio. He is the devoted grandfather of 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He is preceded in death by his three brothers, Augustin, Roberto, and Carlos Villavicencio.

Marco worked for Guill Tool & Engineering Co. in West Warwick, RI, for many years before his retirement.

Marco was the first president of the Ecuadorian Club of Rhode Island and was recognized in 2014 by the Ecuadorian Association of Rhode Island for his leadership and contributions to the community.

His Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral and Cremation Service, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27, 2025, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's on Broadway, 538 Broadway, Providence. Burial will be private. Nació en Guayaquil, Ecuador, fue hijo del difunto Roberto y Ana (Pozo) Villavicencio. Fue el querido esposo de Gladys (Calderón) Villavicencio, amoroso padre de Anna Villavicencio, Christina Torres, Freddy Villavicencio, Marc Villavicencio y del fallecido Eric Villavicencio. Fue el abuelo devoto de 11 nietos y un bisnieto. Le preceden en la muerte sus tres hermanos, Agustín, Roberto y Carlos Villavicencio. Marco trabajó para Guill Tool & Engineering Co. en West Warwick, RI, durante muchos años antes de su jubilación. Marco fue el primer presidente del Club Ecuatoriano de Rhode Island y fue reconocido en 2014 por la Asociación Ecuatoriana de Rhode Island por su liderazgo y contribuciones a la comunidad.
