Obituary of Sally Sylvia Lewis

Sally Sylvia Lewis, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Warwick, RI, on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Born October 13, 1941, to the late Elijah and Rae Marshall Brown. Sally is preceded in death by her late husband, Frank Lewis Sr., sisters Shirley Pettaway, Margret Diane Brown, and Brenda Suggs, brother Floyd Brown (Colleen), two daughters, Sandra Brown and Michelle Lewis, and her grandson Dereck Lewis. One of eight, Sally leaves behind a sister Barbara Towns, of Providence, RI, and brothers John Brown (Debby) of Warwick and Charles Brown of Providence, R.I. A loving mother, she leaves behind a daughter Sonya Lewis of St. Louis, MO, and three sons Frank Lewis Jr. of Kathleen, GA, Michael Lewis and Anthony Lewis of Providence, RI. As well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Sally attended Central High School and worked for the Coro and Argon Jewelry Companies for many years. The Matriarch of the Lewis Family, Sally spent her years caring for her family. A nurturing mother, Sally instilled joy, love, and pride in her family and those she held dear. Her visitation will be held Monday, May 8, 2023, from 10am to 12pm in the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave., Providence, followed by a Memorial Service at 12pm.
