Cecile Beaumier, 98, of Providence, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. She was the wife of the late Bertrand L. Beaumier. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ludger and Elizabeth (Adams) Dionne. Cecile graduated from St. Xaviers School in 1937 and Bryant College in 1939. She worked as a secretary for various agencies of the U.S. Government for 27 years before retiring in 1982. Cecile was a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector for Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels from 1983 to 1999. She is survived by her son, Bertrand Beaumier; one brother, Rev. Adrian L. Dionne, O.P.; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rene and Robert Dionne, and Marie Meenan.
