Obituary of Ryszard Gruszka

Gruszka, Ryszard, J. 61, of Old Schoolhouse Road, died unexpectedly in Arlington, VA on June 13, 2016. He was the husband of Halina (Stepinski) Gruszka.
Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Kazimierz and Barbara (Kwapisz) Gruszka. Mr. Gruszka had lived in Hope for the last 26 years in the home he built.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Jonathan Gruszka, his daughter Emily Piette and her husband Peter, and his grandchildren Annabelle and Caroline Piette.
He was also the brother of Teresa Bodo of Poland and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Ryszard was employed as a press brake operator at EMI All State Fabricators for the last 33 years.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave., Providence followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Adalbert’s Church, Atwells Ave. at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 7pm. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
