I was saddened to hear of Irv's passing. I knew Irv through Midville Golf Course, he was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed.
I always brought Irv a small can of Schweppes Ginger Ale when I went golfing on a Sunday afternoon, he told me it was his favorite.
We had many good long chats over the last couple of years. My sincere condolences to Irv's family. He represented the best in a human being.

Irv was a true gentleman of gentleman! Every week he was there on the tee to greet us and he was an inspiration to all. Full of life and loved to see us kids in our 60’s hitting the ball down Lombardi Ln or into the next fairway. No one ran the tee box like Irv! I will miss the conversations we had before teeing off or at the end of our game where he always inquired about our game. We will miss you Irv! Thank you for your service to our country as a portion of a proud generation now rests in peace.

Sincere condolences and prayers are offered for the family of our dear friend, Irvin - he was the starter for the PNA League at Midville for many years, and he was loved by all: a true gentleman, a proud patriot, and always cheerful and quick to tell or laugh at corny jokes. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of his company. May God bless him with eternal peace and an early tee time. George Truman

We want to extend our sincerest condolences to the family of Irvin. He was our starter at Midville for many, many great golf seasons. He will be greatly missed! He made us laugh each and every week with a little story or saying, and he NEVER forgot a name. He was a true gentleman, and a shining example of the greatest generation!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
