Barbara E. Ross, 82, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Frank Ross. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Mary (Fay) Brennan. Barbara worked as a machine operator for 40 years at Nyman Manufacturing in East Providence. She volunteered at the Olneyville Food Bank and St. Teresa’s Soup Kitchen for 15 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Carol Fuscellaro, her granddaughter Leah Fuscellaro, her two great grandsons, Ronnie and Frankie, and her sisters Jane Marandola, and Louise Michaud. She was the sister of the late Rita Major, Catherine Fontaine, Genevieve Costa, Mary Brennan, and Edmund and Thomas Brennan. Her funeral will be held Friday at 9am in the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church, Providence. Burial will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4-7pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, 02904.
