Rosemarie C. Mildner "Rose," 78, passed away peacefully after a graceful and courageous battle with breast cancer on Monday, August 24, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. Rose was born and raised in Providence, RI. One of six, the only girl. Later she married the late William Mildner. Together they had three children. Rose was a kind and caring person. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Rhode Island Hospital for more than 20 years. Rose was also dedicated to her children. She served as Cub Scout Den Leader all the way to Cub Master of Pack 53 of St. Pius Church in Providence RI. An avid Bowler, Christmas Cookie Maker, and traveler. Especially to her favorite place, Walt Disney World, in Orlando, Florida. Left to honor and remember Rose and her love are her three children, Brian (Lisa), Donald (Tracy) and Tami, three grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Her funeral will be held Friday, August 28, 2020, at 9:00 AM from the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation in the funeral home Thursday, August 27, 2020, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Face masks are required, and social distancing will be observed. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hope Health Hospice Services of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
