William A. Forrest, “Billy”, 66, of Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Saturday, August 30, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry and Eva (Modelski) Forrest. When Billy was younger, he had worked in the jewelry industry and later worked in construction for his brother Raymond. He had devoted his entire life as a caretaker for his late mother. He was the treasurer of the Hillcrest Village Social Club. He is survived by two brothers, Edward Forrest and Raymond Forrest and his wife Jo-Ann. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 11:30am in Saint Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-7pm in the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hillcrest Village Social Club, 40 Leander Street, Providence, RI, 02909, would be appreciated.
