Obituary of Eveline Desrosiers

Eveline M. Desrosiers 92 of North Providence passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 2, 2014. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Desrosiers for 59 years until his death in 2012. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Valmore and Olivine (Aubin) Lambert. Eveline was one of eleven children and is survived by brother Raymond Lambert and his wife Jean, sister Claire Vanasse and sister Cecile Fielding and her husband Francis. She was the loving mother of Diane Salloway and Susan Desrosiers and beloved grandmother of Danielle Fulep and her husband Adam, and Nicole and Evan Monast and step-grandchildren Avi and Rachel Salloway. She was a devout Catholic and faithful congregant of Mary Mother of Mankind Church in North Providence for fifty years, singing in the choir and serving on many religious committees. A devoted homemaker and mother she enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing for her family in addition to being a professional seamstress. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday September 6, 2014 at 10 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church 179 Academy Avenue Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 5-7 PM at the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Research at Butler Hospital, 345 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, RI 02906.
