Obituary of Rene Yvonne Isom

Rene Isom entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020, at RI Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. Rene was the daughter of the late Jay C. Isom and Ruth Isom. Rene was the sister of the late Jay C. Isom, Jr. Rene was employed at the Providence VA Medical Center for 49 years, retiring in March 2020 due to illness. While employed at the Providence VA Medical Center, Rene worked as the lead Administrative Officer of the Day in the Emergency Room. Rene leaves behind cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as many friends and colleagues at the Providence VA Medical Center, who will miss her dearly. There will be no calling hours, and services will be private in following with Rene's wishes. Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, RI, is entrusted with Rene's arrangements.
