Obituary of John Rinn

John J. Rinn, 79, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward P. and Addie (Wilcox) Rinn. A resident of St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich for the last 15 years, John lived most of his life in Providence. He loved baseball and was an avid Red Sox fan.
John is survived by many nieces and nephews, including his guardian and niece Janet Rivard Michaud and her daughter Daniele Michaud. He also leaves his extended family at the Saint Elizabeth Home who have cared for him lovingly since 1999. He was the brother of the late Mary Gichan, James Rinn, Josephine Croft, Addie Nordin, and Dorothy Rivard.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave, Providence, RI 02908 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Saint Michael’s Church, 239 Oxford St. Providence, RI 02905. Burial will be in Saint Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be 8:45am-10:15am the morning of the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Elizabeth’s Home or St Michael’s Church.
