Obituary of Joseph Lee Gibson

Joseph "Joe" Lee Gibson, 59, of Warwick, RI, formerly of Maryland, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. Born in Easton, MD, he was the son of the late Benjamine Lee and Elva Virginia (Perkins) Gibson. He was a self-employed painter and did odd jobs until becoming ill a few years ago when he was in and out of the hospital and nursing homes. Joe enjoyed his life and said, "I ran my race and won" also, "I love all my family." Joe leaves his companion and friend Lela Thomas of Warwick, RI, daughters Monnie Clark of Providence, RI, Sadie Mills of Macon, GA, Shannon Lee of Pawtucket, RI, Desiree Morenzi of Douglasville, GA, Wandy, and Connie Thomas of Baldwin, MS, son Joseph Thomas of Tupelo, MS, brothers Gary Gibson of Providence RI, Donald Gibson, sisters Phyllis Gibson of Salisbury, MD, Brenda Williams of Philidelphia, PA, Jackie Gibson of Seaford, DE, 23 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Joe was the brother of the late Tyrone Benjamine Gibson and Ronnie Lee Gibson. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
