Alethea Ann Campinha-Schenck was born in Wareham, Mass, on August 24, 1947, to the late John Campinha and Edna Campinha Ferry. She departed this life on May 25, 2021. Alethea is survived by her husband James Schenck, 2 children Bruce Campinha, and Gail Campinha, 4 sisters Judith Wesley, Geraldine Maria Tunstall, Joan Campinha, and Chalechia Campinha, 4 grandchildren, Bruce Campinha, Nyja Campinha, Daimani Campinha, and Jayla Pare, and 1 great-granddaughter Naliah Campinha. She was a member of the Cape Verdean Social Club and well known to a lot of people. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27th, 2021, at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 28th, 2021, at Holy Name Church, 107 Camp Street, Providence, at 10:00 am, followed by a procession to Swan Point Cemetery.
