Robert Earl Smith, 68, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, passed away quietly at his home. He was the son of the late Leslie Smith and Nettie Mae (Byers) Smith. He was employed at John Hope Settlement House as the building manager for over 20 years. He was a member and volunteer of St. Martin DePorres Senior Center. He is survived by his children Robert Walton, Bobby Green, Robert Wilson, and Natisha Mitchell. He is also the father of the late Tyron Beatty. He is the brother of Marvin Love, Louise Ratliff, Esther Price, Robbin McFadden, and Mary Shields. He is also the brother of the late Ernest Love, Katherine Love, Annie (Sue) Love, and Erma Williams. He is survived by a host of grandchildren. A Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 12th, 2021, at the Truth Tabernacle Church, 542 Potters Avenue, Providence, from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, followed by a service at 2:00pm. Repast will follow at John Hope Settlement House, 7 Thomas P Whitten Way, Providence, RI 02903. The family asks anyone who wishes to send flowers to select flowers in Robert's favorite colors: Purple, Red, and White.
