Benita Gould, 61, of Providence, passed away on Saturday, July 10th, 2021. Born in Liberia, Benita was the daughter of the late Benny and Comfort Gould. Benita worked as a Home Care Assistant, where she provided remarkable service and care to all that she encountered.
Benita is survived by her daughter Jartu (Punkin) Stevens Gould, brothers, Eliot Gould, Prince Gould, Philip Ammons; sisters, Ann Koetea, Marie Gould, Marilyn Stevens-Bowles, Maomi Amegashie; Aunts, Esther Cain, and Maeve K. Barclay; two grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Benita was preceded in death by her siblings Williette Gould, Authur Gould, Roger Gould, and Josephine Gould.
A visitation for Benita will be held on Saturday, August 7th, 2021, at the Mount Pleasant Funeral & Cremation Services, 168 Academy Ave., Providence, RI, from 9:00 am - 10:30 am, followed by a service at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, 1 Rhode Island Avenue, Johnston, RI.
