Obituary of Charlotte L. Jarrett

Charlotte Louella (Tunstall) Jarrett, 88, passed away at Charlesgate Nursing Center on November 1, 2021. She was the wife of the late William T. Jarrett. She was a graduate of Central High School and furthered her education to become a Seamstress. She later attended a program at the RI Medical Center and received a Certification as an Electrocardiograph Technician. She was employed for several years as an EKG Technician at the Veterans Administration in Providence.
Charlotte was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. She volunteered at Washington Park Community Center, serving “Meals on Wheels” lunches to Seniors. She made countless donations to a variety of charities. She also loved to sing and dance.
Charlotte was a longtime member of Faith Hope & Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and later attained a Certificate in Ministry. She was always happy to volunteer at church, whether it was in the Foodbank, Clothing bank, or in the Kitchen, where she was known for her famous Annual Christmas Soup.
She is survived by sons Wesley S. Williams Jr., David A. Williams, Robert L. Williams, daughters, Gladys M. Allen and her husband Ronald, Mable R. (Thompson) Williams, and brothers Gerald, Gary, James, and Ronald Tunstall, sisters Loris, Patricia, Carol and Linda,15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. And a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Luke Aaron Tunstall and Rosella Ruth (Thompson) Tunstall, daughter Sharon Ann Williams and brothers Luke, Robert, Michael, Raymond, and Phillip Tunstall, and grandchild Al Thompson III.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at:
