Obituary of Latoya Marie Wheeler

Latoya Wheeler, 40, of Providence passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Day at her home. Latoya was born in Providence to Wayne Almeida and Barbara Wheeler Dacruz. She was a 1998 graduate of Chambers High School and continued her education at Lincoln Tech College. Latoya loved to help people and found her fit in the medical field after graduating college. She was employed with Care New England for several years caring for those in need as a Medical Assistant. Latoya was a supportive and affectionate mother who understood the importance of spending time with family and friends. She was hardworking and compassionate to those around her, spreading light and love with a welcoming smile. She is survived by her daughter Lynasia Wheeler and her mother. Besides her mother and daughter, she is also survived by her brother Jason, and two sisters Jasmine and Maya. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Wednesday, Jan 5th at the Truth Tabernacle Church from 10-11:30 a.m. followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. Truth Tabernacle Church 524 Potters Ave, Providence RI 02907
