Denise Darcell Herring, 68, of Providence, passed away at Miriam Hospital on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Born in Fall River, she was the wife of the late James Herring, Sr. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Dozier. She was employed as a CNA for several years in East Providence before her retirement. She was a member of the Zion Gospel Church in East Providence for 27 years. She is survived by her son James Herring, Jr. and his wife Jeanelle, two daughters Patricia and Samantha Herring and her companion Julia. She was the sister of the late Edward Dozier and Madeline Costa. She was the mother of the late Shavon Herring. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 at the Truth Tabernacle Church, 542 Potters Avenue, Providence, from 10:00am - 11:30am, followed by a funeral service at 11:30am.
