Obituary of Sharon G. Huntley

Sharon Gay Huntley, 57, fondly known to family and friends as “Gay-Gay,” peacefully passed away on
Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, Providence, RI. Sharon was born in July
4, 1964 in Gueydan, Louisiana to Clyde and Shirley (Woods) Huntley.
Sharon attended Central High School and was a self-employed hair braider.
Sharon leaves to mourn her loss, mother Shirley Huntley, her children, Oluwafumi “Kayla,” Treyvon, and
Nashana, three grandchildren, Joseph, Jahkiel, and Gerell, her sister Tracy L. Huntley, nephews, nieces, a
host of relatives and friends, and long-time companion Joe Kimbrough.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Huntley, her siblings Dale and Darren Huntley and
husband Nate Lee.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 10:30 am at the Second Freewill Baptist Church located at 75 Chester Avenue in Providence.
