Obituary of Joye BillieJean Hazard

Joye BillieJean Hazard, 43, of Providence Rhode Island passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of William A. Hazard, Sr. and Jeannette P. Hazard Joye leaves to cherish her memory of her loving son Sire Xavier Hazard of Providence, RI, three sisters: Dawn A.Perry, Andrea B. Armelin of Providence, Rhode Island and Kaesha M. Hazard of Pensacola, Florida. She leaves three nieces Shlonda Davis, Nichole Ferreira, Denashia Cochran and four nephews Brett Ferreira, Jordan Hazard- Bliss, David Perry, and Jonathan Hazard-Nettles, III. She also leaves one great-nephew Jermaine Brett Jones and two great nieces Amani Jones and Oshin Perry. Joye was preceded in death by her brothers, Brett Hazard and William Hazard Jr of Providence, Rhode Island. In addition, she leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joye graduated from Classical High School, received her Associates from the Community College of Rhode Island, Bachelors from University of Rhode Island and earned a Masters of Arts degree in Education from Kaplan University. Joye was employed at the Rhode Island Department of Human Services as an Employment Career Advisor. Her passion was helping others. Her position in the human services field offered her the opportunity to reach many and pour joy into their lives. Joye’s infectious laugh and beautiful smile will be truly missed. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at the Truth Tabernacle Church, 542 Potters Avenue, Providence, RI from 10:00am - 11:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am.
