Carol Marie Syzmanski died peacefully in her sleep on July 1, 2022, after a long battle with liver disease with her husband, John E. Szymanski, by her side. Carol spent her final moments at Roy Carpenter’s Beach, as did her father, William “Bear” McKenna, who passed on July 4th, 1999. Carol spent many late nights dancing by the ocean in Matunuck, RI with friends and family at RCB. Carol worked for the Rhode Island courts for 33 years.

Carol is survived by her son Frank, her husband John, and her two brothers, W. Michael, and Robert McKenna. She was the sister of the late David V. McKenna. In lieu of flowers, donations to Animal Rescue Rhode Island can be made in Carol’s name. A Celebration of Lifetime and location TBA.
