Maria A. Dwyer, 74, of Johnston, passed away peacefully at Crystal Lake Nursing Home, Pascoag, surrounded by her family on June 11, 2023. She was born in Providence and a lifetime resident of Johnston. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Charles and Evelyn (Tedesco) DeRosa. Maria was the domestic partner of the late Tina Louise Donaldson. She was a member of the local #271 union for 20 years, working for Lynch Construction as a flagger. A hard worker who always loved her job! Maria had many good friends she was always there for, especially if they were in need. She would always make sure she left you in a good mood. She leaves her daughter, Evelyn (Dwyer) Garofalo, her grandchildren, Stephanie A. Garofalo and Joanne L. Dramby, and niece, Jenna DeRosa. Maria was the sister of the late Charles J. DeRosa.

Her visitation will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 9am - 11am in the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave., Providence, followed by a Memorial Mass in St Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence, at 11:30am.
