Maria De Los Ángeles López Ortega, también conocida como Maria A. Flores. Nació el 30 de septiembre de 1949, en Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, México. Sus padres fueron Amado López Valenzuela y María Valeria Ortega Flores. Falleció el martes 28 de noviembre de 2023, en West Warwick, RI, donde pasó sus últimos años después de mudarse desde Providence, RI.

Maria emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1980; aunque tuvo una exitosa carrera como enfermera, buscaba una vida mejor para ella y sus hijos. Se casó con Luis Enrique Flores en Los Ángeles. Tras mudarse a Rhode Island en 1995, trabajó para la Ciudad de Providence como monitora de autobuses y en la Oficina de Correos de los Estados Unidos.

Le sobreviven su esposo, hijos y muchos nietos. Sus hijos son Ramón, Leticia, Sandra, Yadira, Luis. y Freddy.

Maria fue una persona maravillosa y compasiva, eligiendo poner a los demás antes que a ella misma y devolver a su comunidad cuando era posible. Le encantaba bailar, cantar, tejer y coser.

La pérdida de su vida deja un daño irreparable en los amigos y familiares que deja atrás.

Es nuestro deseo que Maria encuentre la paz y serenidad que tan ricamente merece.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio el lunes 4 de diciembre de 2023, de 11:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m., en la Funeraria Mount Pleasant ubicada en 168 Academy Avenue, Providence.

 

Maria De Los Angles Lopez Ortega aka Maria A. Flores. Born September 30, 1949, in the city of Obregon, Sonora Mexico. The parents are Amado Lopez Valenzuela and Maria Valeria Ortega Flores. She passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in West Warwick, RI, where she spent her final years after moving from Providence, RI.

 

Maria emigrated to the United States in 1980; While she had a successful career as a Nurse, she sought a better life for herself and her children. She married Luis Enrique Flores in Los Angeles. Moving to Rhode Island in 1995, she worked for the City of Providence as a bus monitor and the United States Post Office.

 

She is survived by her husband, children, and many grandchildren. Children are Ramon, Leticial, Sandra, Yadira, Luis., and Freddy.

 

Maria was a wonderful caring person; Choosing to put others before herself and to give back to her community when possible. She loved dancing, singing, knitting, and sewing.

 

The loss of her life leaves irreparable damage on the friends and family she leaves behind.

 

It is our wish that Maria finds the peace and serenity that she so richly deserves.

 

A service will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home located at 168 Academy Avenue, Providence.
