Obituary of Donna Marie Sellers

Donna Marie Sellers, 62, of Providence, RI, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at her home peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Born October 19, 1961, in Elizabeth, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Herbert Sellers and Ivilia Wiley-Robinson.  
 

Donna was a recent employee of Crossroads RI. However, she is best known for the two decades she worked at the Miriam Hospital, Cardiovascular Institute in East Providence, RI, as a scheduling clerk.

 

Her greatest passion was spending time and creating memories with those she loved most. She was an avid LA Lakers fan who enjoyed crocheting, karaoke, dancing, and sparking up the grill. As an usher and choir member of the Gospel Tabernacle Outreach Ministries, she took advantage of every opportunity to give back and pay it forward.

 

During this transition, Donna joins her life partner Joseph Evans and leaves here to celebrate her life her loving children, Steven Sellers, Anthony Sellers and his wife Melanie, Michelle Sellers-Chattman and her husband Aaron, and Micheal Sellers and his wife Taniesha along with her 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 

Donna is also survived by her siblings Sheila Stewart, Nathan Wiley, Vanessa Sellers, and Kyle Sellers, her uncle Henry Wiley, an abundance of nieces and nephews, her dearest friend Joan Stokes, and a host of other family and friends inside and outside of the church.

 

To add to her delivery of blessings, Donna was a woman who lived, laughed, loved, and led by example; hence, it is no surprise her favorite song was titled ‘This is How We Do It” (by Montell Jordan). In her memory, we ask if a day comes when you need a boost or a reminder that as long as she lives in your heart, you are never alone; close your eyes as this song plays and let her spirit set you free.

 

A visitation will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, from 4:00 – 5:30 PM, followed by a service at 5:30 PM in the Mount Pleasant Funeral and Cremation Service, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. For further information and condolences, please visit MOUNTPLEASANTFH.COM.
