Raymond A. Fontaine Obituary

Raymond A. Fontaine, 83, of Wakefield, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023. He was born in Attleboro, MA, a son of the late Edgar J. and Anna (Alix) Fontaine. Raymond was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. (McCormack) Fontaine. Before his retirement, he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a computer programmer for the Providence Journal. Ray was a friend of Bill W. and a Boy Scouts leader of Troop 9, Pawtucket, RI. He leaves his loving children, Michael and Mark Fontaine, and Susan (Fontaine) Kelly. Grandfather of Adam and Joshua. Brother of Louise Carbone.


A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in the Mount Pleasant Funeral and Cremation Service from 10am to 12pm, followed by a service at 12pm. Burial will be private. For further information and condolences, please visit MOUNTPLEASANTFH.COM.
