Maria Kudas, 95, of Johnston, RI, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 5, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Michal and Apolonia Lonczak. Loving wife of the late Andrzej Kudas. Loving mother of Krzysztof Kudas and his wife Bernadetta, Elizbieta Kulczyk and her husband Leszek, and Grzegorz Kudas and his wife Maria. She leaves her loving grandchildren Pawel, Andrzej, Jan Kudas, Agata Laszewska, Michael, and Nicole Kulczyk, along with step-granddaughter Marianna Treco, great-granddaughter of Wanda, Wojciech, and Aniela Kudas, and Sophie Treco. She was the sister of Wladyslaw Lonczak, and the late Stanislaw, Josef, and Zofia.

Maria was an accountant and loan officer at a local bank in her native country, Poland.

After retirement in Poland, Maria came to this country and enjoyed much of her free time with her grandchildren, to whom she taught the Polish language and culture to. Maria was also an avid baker, sharing her passion for baking with friends and family.

She was a woman of faith, where God was at the center of her life. At her parish, St. Adalbert's, she was a member of the rosary committee and participated in many of the church's events, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 9am from the Mount Pleasant Funeral and Cremation Service, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Adalbert's Church, 866 Atwells Ave, Providence, RI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm in the Mount Pleasant Funeral and Cremation Service. The burial will take place at St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
