John Tallie, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024. Born in Kinloch, MO, he

was the son of Calvin and Adesser (Wright) Tallie. He was the beloved husband of Jewell

(Morse) Tallie for 51 years. He was the loving father of John McDonald, Mellody Lewis, and

Mariahadessa Tallie, a grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of twelve.

Mr. Tallie earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Engineering from Lincoln University in

1954. He served as Second Lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers. He became a registered

architect in 1976 and was a member of the American Institute of Architects for decades. He was

a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and he worked as an Architect for the City of

New York Department of General Services for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, children,
