David Ruffin Obituary
David Randall Ruffin, 68, of Baltimore, passed away on February 5, 2024. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on September 19, 1955, to the late Frederick R. Ruffin, Sr. and the late Bernice J. (Audette) Ruffin.
He received his education in the Providence Public School System before enlisting in the United States Army in 1975, where he served in both Germany and the United States.
David relocated to Maryland in 1987, where he held various jobs before working at the United States Coast Guard Yard until his early retirement.
David enjoyed traveling and spending time with family in Rhode Island, Maryland, and North Carolina. He also enjoyed socializing with his fellow veterans. He was what the family called a “TikTok Superstar.”
To cherish his memory, David leaves his daughter, Katrina Roy (Brian), brother Frederick R. Ruffin Jr. (Leslie); sister, Denise J. Ruffin; nephews, Antone, Leshon, and Frederick, III; nieces, Tamela and Quiana; grandchildren, Kieanna, Jaylynn, Bryan, and Jayvon, a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. David was looking forward to the upcoming birth of his first great-grandchild in April. He was preceded in death by his son, Devon.
