Ivan Ramos

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother,

Ivan Ramos, who left us on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Kent County Hospital.

Ivan was born on October 6, 1989, in Providence, Rhode Island, and from the very

beginning, he brought joy and laughter into our lives. His infectious laughter and

genuine warmth had a profound effect on everyone he encountered. Ivan’s spirit was a

beautiful blend of kindness and energy, which touched the hearts of all those around

him.

Throughout his life, Ivan faced challenges with a remarkable strength and resilience that

inspired everyone who knew him. He met each difficulty with determination and an

unwavering spirit. His commitment to family was undeniable, and his bond with his

sisters was especially dear to him, providing a source of love and support that he

cherished deeply.

Ivan relished life to the fullest, approaching each day with enthusiasm and hope. A

passionate sports fan, he proudly cheered for the Boston Celtics while finding joy in

outdoor adventures and diving into the pages of comic books. His love for food brought

him immense joy, and he could often be found gathering with family and friends to share

a meal and create lasting memories.

Ivan's life was profoundly impacted by the loss of his beloved mother, Leonora

Castellano, who passed away in January 2024. He is survived by his father, Ivan

Ramos of New York; his cherished sisters, Leah Carbone of Tiverton, RI, Katira Kilroy of

Georgia, and Marcella Vega of Warwick, RI; and many nieces and nephews. His

absence will be felt deeply by his family, extended relatives, and friends who were

fortunate enough to experience the warmth of his spirit.

To honor Ivan’s life, a memorial and burial service will be held on Monday, September

16, 2024, at 11am in Pocasset Cemetery, 417 Dyer Avenue, Cranston, RI. We warmly invite all
