Dorothy Testa, 96, went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (DeLuca) Testa. Ms. Testa was a Bookkeeper for many years before retiring. She was an auxiliary member of Legion of Mary, Daughters of Isabella, Seniors at St. Adalberts, People of God's Love Christian Community, Seniors of Mt. Pleasant and the Third Order of St. Francis. She was also a Foster Grandparent at the John Hope Center. She is survived by a brother, Alphonse Testa and his wife Dahlia of Johnston, a sister, Anna Ionta and her husband Silvio of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Elaine O'Neill. The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 9:30AM from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in the Francisan Missionaries Mary Chapel, 399 Fruit Hill Avenue, North Providence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visitation 9:30-10:30AM in the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Blessed Sacrament School, 240 Regent Avenue, Providence, RI, 02908.
