My sincere condolences to the family of Sister Marie Therese Dyer F.CJ. Mother Therese, as we knew her in high school, was our cheerful and enthusiastic literature teacher, freshman through senior years. She also conducted us in choral speaking for a couple of years, which was a unique and memorable experience. Always kind and always fair, she treated us with genuine respect. I learned the power and dignity of dedicating one’s life to a mission, however limited it might seem to the rest of the world. St. Philomena HS had a student body of 32 teenage girls when our large class of 12 entered. I owe Mother Therese, Sister Marie Therese, a debt of gratitude for all her efforts on our behalf and the delightful memories of our school days.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Mother Theresa. She was principal of St. Patrick's High School when I attended 58-61. At the time she seemed a lot older than me, but she was only 11 years older. She paved the way for me in many different ways., Her love lives on in the lives she touched with her gentle, caring way. My sympathy and prayers to Therese's local FCJ Community and to her family. I have very happy memories of the years I shared in FCJ Community with Therese. She was such a dedicated woman and selfless in her service of others. Her deep faith and spirit of prayer was such an example for me as was her personal concern for the people in her life. I am sure that Jesus, her Faithful Companion, whom she served so generously has welcomed her into Heaven with open arms! May Therese now help us all as we continue to follow Jesus and spread His love in this world.
