Apologies for this late entry, but I have moved out of state and have not been in contact with John for several years. I was a personal friend and co-worker of John’s for over 30 years. He was a very smart and intelligent Engineer at Raytheon. He was one of the most knowledgeable people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. John was always very friendly and would spend countless hours mentoring myself and others at work. John and I sat together and worked directly together for many years. He was always a pleasure to be around. I also spent time with John away from work, and he was a true friend. He loved working for Habitat and enjoyed photography. He was also a licensed Amateur Radio operator. He was a great person and will be missed by many. God Bless you my friend, may you rest in peace.

John was a wonderful man. I've seen and spoken with him dozens of time at the ReStore. I, too, am a Habitat volunteer on the construction sites. I am so sorry about his passing and send my sincerest regards, especially to his mother.

john and i worked together on many of the same projects at work - over a 30+ year career there. when john started volunteering with waterfire, he quickly found his metier with the photography group. he never looked back. at every waterfire, he always stopped by the guest boat dock (where i volunteer) to say "Hi!". we would talk a bit and he would take off to get some great photos of the evening. his eye for composition showed brilliantly in his photographs. his outgoing persona made him a friend to many people at waterfire. i will sorely miss you, john. all the best to you!
