Q: What was Connell really good at? A: Cornell had an incredible knack for playing cards, leaving us in the dust each time we faced off—what a fun challenge it always was! We cherished our time with him, not just for the games but for the joy of hearing his stories from the good old days. His laughter and tales brought warmth to our gatherings, making every moment spent together truly special. The last time I spoke with Cornell was in September, and he promised to come over to our home in Texas to take us on once more in Spades. We welcomed the challenge, filled with excitement and anticipation for another spirited game. As we looked forward to the next time we gathered, I now know I will have to wait a little longer. God has called you home. But we will cherish the evenings of laughter, friendly competition, and memories together forever.
